👋 Hi, Sabir here. Welcome to this bonus edition of Chino - simplifying Men’s fashion to help you dress well & look dapper!
I hope you’re having a dapper week! 💪
Ultimately, dressing well is a matter of personal style and depends on the occasion and your preference. With that being said, there are certain principles of dressing well.
If you implement them, you’ll be well on your way to looking dapper!
So, let’s kick things off.
1. Invest in classic pieces
These are pieces that never go out of style and can be mixed and matched to create a variety of looks. Some examples of classic pieces for Men include a tailored suit, a well-fitting dress shirt, and a pair of dress shoes.
2. Pay attention to fit
Clothes that fit well will always look better than clothes that are too loose or too tight. Make sure to try on clothes before purchasing them and have them tailored if necessary.
3. Experiment with different styles
Don't be afraid to try out different styles and see what works for you. You might be surprised by what looks good on you.
4. Embrace accessories
Accessories add a touch of personal style to an outfit. These can include ties, pocket squares, watches, and belts. Even a suave looking pair of spectacles (my personal favourite).
5. Keep it simple
It's usually best to start with a simple, classic look and then add on pieces as you become more confident in your style. Avoid overloading on patterns and flashy colours.
6. Take care of your clothes
Please take proper care of your clothes, including regular washing and ironing; this will help them look their best.
Top Tip: NEVER tumble dry your clothes! Doing so will often lead to shrinking which you DON’T want. Allow them to dry naturally by hanging them in an open space (this doesn’t have to be outdoors, indoors works perfectly well).
That’s a wrap for this bonus edition.
P.S. I recently interviewed Hollywood actor Ray Proscia (the man behind Dr. Lipschitz in the critically acclaimed TV hit series, SUITS – CLICK HERE TO WATCH.
Catch you next week. As always, stay dapper! 💪
