👋 Hi, Sabir here. Welcome to this week’s edition of Chino - simplifying Men’s fashion to help you dress well & look dapper!
I hope you’re planning on staying dapper for the week ahead. If you are, I do not doubt that you’ll love this week’s newsletter.
This week, we’re talking about my favourite winter accessory – scarves! 💪
It’s my favourite because they have enormous potential to make an ordinary outfit look dapper! But only if you style them well.
I currently have three in my wardrobe (brown check, grey marle, and navy blue). I like to have more than one because it allows me to match them with multiple outfits.
If you only have one at the moment, don’t worry. It’s still possible to make it look dapper!
Men's scarves are a versatile and stylish accessory that can be worn in a variety of ways to add a touch of elegance to any outfit.
So, to help you, I’ve put together these 5 different yet highly effective ways to style your scarf.
Here we go!
1. The Classic Drape
This is the most traditional way to wear a Men's scarf and is better suited to smart/casual outfits. Especially those that include a long coat. Simply drape the scarf over your shoulders, allowing it to fall evenly on both sides.
(I haven’t included a how-to image for this one because it’s pretty easy and simple to do).
2. The European Loop
This method is a bit more casual and is often seen on Men in Europe. Fold the scarf in half and loop it around your neck, pulling the ends through the loop. This creates a snug fit and adds a bit of visual interest.

3. The Ascot Knot
This style is perfect for a more smart/casual look and adds a touch of class to any outfit. Fold the scarf in half and drape it over your shoulders, crossing the ends in the front and then tying them in a knot.

4. The Once Around
The "once around" style is my personal favourite. I use this a lot! Why? Because it adds a thick layer of protection to the neck for the winter and looks effortlessly stylish.
Wrap the scarf around the neck once, with the ends hanging in front. This style is achieved by folding the scarf in half and draping it around the neck with the folded end at the back and the two ends hanging in front.
Then, the two ends are brought around to the back, crossed over each other, and returned to the front to adjust to the desired snugness level.

5. The Fake Knot
This is a way of wearing a scarf in which the scarf is wrapped around the neck in such a way that it appears to be knotted, but in reality, the ends are tucked into the layers of the scarf to give the illusion of a knot.
This style is often used to form elegance into an outfit and can be worn with both casual and smart outfits.

Final Words
Before I leave you, remember that Men's scarves are a stylish and versatile accessory that can be worn in a variety of ways to add a touch of suave to your outfits.
Experiment with different styles and find the one that works best for you. And don't forget to choose the right colour to complement your outfit. (TOP TIP: Match the colour of your scarf with either your chinos/jeans/trousers, coat/jacket, or boots/shoes).
That’s a wrap for this week. Until next week, stay dapper! 💪
